The DockNeighbor Station

One small box, plugged into power and the internet, that carries every DockNeighbor sensor within range to the cloud. A marina runs one for the whole facility. A boat that wants its own runs one aboard. Set up from the app in a few minutes; the station never counts against your plan's devices.

M2

SenseCAP M2 Multi-Platform LoRaWAN Indoor Gateway (US915)

Marinas, clubs, and boats with Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi or wired internet. The station for a marina office, a clubhouse, or a boat with internet aboard.

M2-4G

SenseCAP M2 Multi-Platform LoRaWAN Indoor Gateway, 4G (US915)

Boats that cruise, and marinas without internet

Adds a cellular connection with your own SIM. For a marina without usable Wi-Fi, or a boat that takes its station along.

Buy exactly these models. Seeed sells several gateways under similar names, and the ones made for other networks will not work as a DockNeighbor Station.

DockNeighbor sensors

Each sensor runs for years on its own battery, needs no Wi-Fi, and reaches the station from anywhere on the boat, including the bilge. Add one by scanning its code in the app. Dockside includes 2, Weekender 15, Voyager 25.

Water where it shouldn’t be

Two ways to catch rising water: a pair of probes at the height you choose, or a sealed float switch in the bilge.

Water leak sensor

Dragino LWL02

Two steel probes mounted at the height where water means trouble. The alarm waits long enough to ignore hose spray.

Bilge float sensor

Dragino CPL03-LB

A sealed, waterproof unit with a float switch. Sets up over Bluetooth from the app.

Batteries

A dead battery is a dead bilge pump. Watch the house bank, or put battery, bilge and shore power in one box.

Battery voltage sensor

Battery, bilge and shore power in one box

Dragino LT-22222-L in a DockNeighbor housing

Shore power

Know the moment the pedestal drops, before the fridge warms up and the charger stops.

Shore power outlet switch

Partner devices the station reads

Gear that is already on your boat and on its network. The station reads it over that network and shows it alongside your sensors. Nothing is installed on the device. Partner devices are on Weekender and Voyager, and each one uses a device slot like a sensor does.

  • LinkTap City-water valve: shuts the dock hose off on a flood alarm, and from the app.
  • Shelly Wi-Fi relays, meters and sensors already on the boat.
  • Starlink Dish status and whether the boat is online.
  • Peplink Router health, cellular signal and failover.
  • Cradlepoint Router health, cellular signal and failover.
  • GL.iNet Router health, cellular signal, and GPS where the router has it.
  • Chartplotter GPS The boat’s position from an NMEA feed.

Not sure what your boat needs?

Start with one sensor on the thing that worries you most, and add the rest when you want them.
